SPECIALISING IN RESIDENTIAL & DEMENTIA CARE IN NOTTINGHAM

In 2011, Medina View Ltd purchased a small residential home in Beeston, Nottingham. The home required quite a lot of work and they decided that we needed a new purpose built home that was a better environment for the residents with the ability to provide and promote better dignity, care and independence. So in 2012 Wollaton Park Care Home was born. We specialised in Residential and Dementia Care.

On 17th July 2012, Wollaton Park Care Home opened its doors for the first time. Experienced Manager Deborah Redshaw moved, alongside staff and existing residents, to the new home and it was loved by all with its bright but relaxing interior, en-suite bedrooms and well-maintained gardens.

Since opening we have gone from strength to strength.

At the start of our Journey, we cared for residents who was living with us on a long-term basis, and we cared for residents who were admitted to the home for reablement and assessment to discharge in partnership with City Care.

At the end of 2016 we changed and now we solely care for residents who either stay with us for respite care, short-term care and long-term care. Here we pride ourselves on being one family, both residents and staff and we all take huge pride in everything that we do.

Over the years we have also undergone a programme of redecoration with fresh paint and a change in colour scheme, new flooring and soft furnishings. We have constructed a new conservatory with a kitchenette which is a beautiful space to sit in and enjoy the sight, sounds and smells of the garden. In 2021 we went through another major improvement by having our kitchen extended and completely remodelled with brand new appliances.

As a home we continue to strive to be the best we can for the residents and their families offering the home from home experience, personalised care and an extensive and varied activity programme.

Our home is situated in the heart of Wollaton in Nottingham in close proximity to local amenities, bus stop which are wheelchair friendly and provide easy access to and from the City Centre. We are also 5 minutes from Wollaton Hall.

Our relaxed, comforting environment has been designed to aid orientation around the home while providing an interesting and stimulating place to live, all rooms are en-suite and we have a garden for those who enjoy the outdoors.

ADMISSIONS

Admission into our home is completed with ourselves. We carry out an assessment process with the potential resident, social workers (if applicable) and their families to help us to assess a person’s care needs and determine if we can meet these needs.

When we opened Wollaton Park Care Home, the manager from the previous home, Deborah Redshaw moved over, her personal beliefs echoed the ethos and vision for the home. Having previously worked within for the group and running a successful and well-managed home we was excited to learn to she was moving with us.
